Are you a blogger, a writer, or a traditional media company that people seek out to get advice on anything from organizing your closet, to cooking a turkey, to taking the kids on a trip to Chicago, to finding the hottest places to go in town tonight, to well… just about anything?
Do people often quote and share your advice with their friends?
Yes? Well then, you are a life expert!
But, once people read your advice, what do they do with it? Do they print it out, bookmark it, take a screen shot, or paste in into Excel? Even worse, do they forget that the advice came from you?

I have been blogging for a couple years on my personal web site http://blog.javadevelop.com. I write about my latest obsessions, which primarily focus around smartphones/PDA’s to video games. The focus changes from quarter to quarter, based on what I’m currently obsessing about. I’ve started tracking readership using Google Analytics, and see that we have worldwide readership of several hundred per month. I also have people adding my blog to RSS readers and posting comments to my blogs. In an attempt to increase readership, I have added a 2nd writer to the blog and am now looking to bring advertisements to the site.
I also am an Associate Writer for http://palmaddict.typepad.com/palmaddicts/. On Palm Addicts, I occasionally post about the latest news in the smartphone industry. I have been freelance (emphasis on free) blogging on that site for a couple years, and recently have been added officially as an Associate Writer.
I blog in my spare time, around my work and life schedule…though I blog about things I love and things I use. So, if that fits into the Spring Life Expert model, then count me in. (Oh, and I know Chip Correra well too…that may count against me.)
