Hi, used this before and the computer would sink with my androids spring pad. Had problems with the phone, got a new one, and now want spring pad to work like it used to. Can’t find how to sink info with the computer first and second, the advertisements are annoying. Takes my thoughts away and I go into this to add notes. How do I delete or hide the adds – pop-up’s. Let me know if I can’t. Will find another service which is devoted to notes only. You can put your advertisements on pages where people are playing. Like the movie – add page, etc, My notes are serious and I have to think. This was so nice before. Someone always has to improve something that is running just fine and spoil it. Just a suggestion, thanks for your time. Carl

    Hi….

I’m either missing something completely, being totally stupid, or nobody else is fussed about it……how are you supposed to get the web clipper on your phone’s browser? I just downloaded the android ‘app’ for my ‘phone’s but I can’t use the clipper? Which is in my opinion, the best feature! Nowhere on the internet can I find any help with it, or even anyone else with the same question??? Forgive me if I’m being completely stupid. Please help me! I really want to use this. Thanks in advance

    • brittni says:

Hi Alex – the clipper is for web browsers only (although it can be used in safari on iOS devices) For android when you are in your browser you can use the share feature to send web pages and things to springpad. Works basically like the clipper, with minimal features.

For all those people wanting a blackberry app i hate to break it to you but prolly wont happen.. You see for there to be a bb app RIM (Research In Motion) the maker of the blackberry have to authorize it and they won’t.. No clue why but they wont.. That’s why everyone has a iphone and android app but not bb.. I sold my BB curve 2 for a Evo 4g just to get on android.. You want the apps.. get an android.. That’s how it works and BB sucks..

  27. V says:

    Hello

If I create a ‘note’ on the computer and try to edit from the iphone app, it doesn’t allow me to. Can this be fixed please?
Workaround: Crate the note in the iphone app and then it is editable everywhere.

  28. Hi:

I am attempting to access springpad from my Motorola Xoom.

I clicked the icon, and clicked login with Google. I now have a black dialogue:

    Loading
Attempting to make a connection with Google

…that never goes away. i had to reboot to get rid of it, and then duplicated the issue again…

Note we have enforce ssl turned on in our Google Apps Domain.

    • brittni says:

Hi Quentin – sorry about that, we’re still in the process of supporting Android 3.0 – that is one of the known issues that we’ll be fixing.

For now if you log in on the web at springpadit.com on a computer browser you should go to settings and then choose to create a Springpad password. Use that and your username listed on that page to log in on the Xoom.

Please, could you add tags to your mobile website (and maybe also different notebooks, not just the “All my Stuff” one? I wanted to implement GTD to springpad, but with such a mobile website I don’t think it will be possible. Not everyone has an iphone or Android. Are you thinking about improving the mobile webssite? Otherwise I’ll keep using Rememberthemilk

  34. Mark says:

I am loving Springpad – online, JoliCloud, Chrome offline and Android! I have converted many of my notes from MS OneNote to Springpad. I just tried updating one of the notes on my Android and got a message saying “This note appears to have special formatting that may be lost if the note is edited.” Is there a preferred font I should use for my notes that are pasted into Springpad? I used Tahoma 11pt in OneNote. Thanks in advance for any input and thanks for such a great app!!

    Hi Katin,
I got springpad install in my android tablet, how do I automatically download all the files to my tablet so that I can access it offline.

    Thks in advance.

    • katin says:

WTM – just be sure to log in on your tablet with the same account, and everything should sync up, then be usable when you’re offline!

  43. chris says:

i can’t sync on iphone with china unicom’s 3G since I updated the latest version a few days ago.

  44. Rolando says:

It would be nice for those with dumb phones to be able to send a text message to a number and have that information added to their account. Examples include barcodes (for those with phones that don’t have cameras) and any other notes (for those whose phones don’t have web access or it’s just too slow and inconvenient to go any mobile website on their phone).

  45. Rolando says:

Another alternative or an extra way of sending notes would be for one to send an email to a unique email address and have notes added to one’s account. I still won’t have to go through my browser because my phone can send emails to email addresses as if it were a text message. I simply enter an email address instead of a number. This is already possible as another company allows you to do this. I see that one can send emails, but the way it’s setup here is not the way I would like it to be — one must send the email “from the email account that you used to sign up for Springpad”.

  46. Chris clarke says:

would Spingpad for android work with this – CPU: InfoTM X220 ARM11 1Ghz
    Display: 10-inch (1024×600 ) LCD
    RAM: 512MB DDR2 / ROM: 4GB

(I ask as I recently bought a tablet and it would not run springpad)

  47. Leslie says:

It’d be nice to be able to suppress the display of completed tasks on the iPhone/iPad apps.

  48. kathi says:

What happened to the Android widgets? I updated my app and lost my widget!

  49. kathi says:

Thanks katin! All fixed now. :) Wonder how many other wonderful widgets I’m missing out on?

  50. Derek says:

Unfortunately the Android app’s integration with Google login is very poor. Most android apps take advantage of Google’s OAuth authentication – this one makes me log into Google independently, which is awkward since my Google password is deliberately very long and awkward to enter on the phone.

In any case, the first time I authenticated, it said something like “click here to continue”, and when I did, I was right back at SpringPad’s login screen. Subsequent attempts to login say “attempting to make a connection to google” and then present me with a blank screen.

  51. Beth says:

    Hey Katin,
I came across springpad and I like the concept. I am having a hard time getting started with it. I like trying to keep notes, things to do lists, homework, and recipes all organized. I’m not good at setting up my stuff. will you help get me going with the “must have” items.

Those around me will thank you for helping me get organized.

    Thanks,
    Beth

  52. Joe says:

When will blackberry support come out?

  53. James says:

I am have a surprisingly funcional Samsung “dumb” phone. I access my account from m.springpadit.com in the phones Netfront web browser. I am pleased with the way the mobile site presents on my phone. The “quick add” feature works fine and will meet my needs.

  54. i’m waiting for it to come on blackberry, can u plz tell m that when it is going to come out????????????

  55. Charles says:

    Hi guys!

I’m probably doing something totally unsupported, so I don’t expect you to be able to solve it, but here goes:

I have a Viewsonic gTablet that I’ve installed a custom ROM on (VEGAnTab Ginger Edition 7.1.0). It’s based on Android Gingerbread 2.3.5 I believe. I can install the Springpad app, sign in, and see my dashboard with the tiles for “All My Stuff”, “Friends’ Stuff”, etc. But when I tap the “All My Stuff” tile, instead of getting the list of stuff like I do on my phone (I should add that the phone is running Froyo, not Gingerbread), all I get is a plain brown screen. Restarted the app, the tablet, anything I could think of, but no luck. I didn’t see anything obvious in the settings that I could try aside from re-syncing, which I did, but nothing changed. Do you guys have any other ideas I could try?

    Thanks!

  56. Charles says:

Thanks Katin, I’ll give that a try. It’d be great to get my “second brain” working on my tablet. :)

  59. Peter says:

I’ve got springpad on my new galaxy tab 10.1, and I love it so Far! Unfortunately, I can’t seem to get the quick note to save anywhere but in the generic folder. It would be great if I could set up the widget to add quick notes from that widget to a specific notebook. Any plans for something like That?

  60. Phil says:

    @Charles

Did you ever find an answer to your problem? I am having the same issue, and I dont know what to do without my springpad!?!?

    Thanks,

    Phil

  61. Matt says:

    re: Charles from Sept 12…

I have the same issue with the most recent version on my CM7 Nook Color.

installed ver 2.1.2 and I can see my notes again ;-)

  62. Charles says:

    @Phil

I never did solve it for that ROM, but I eventually installed a Honeycomb-based ROM (GTabComb) and it works fine with that ROM. Might just be a matter of trying a few different ROMs and seeing which one you like best that Springpad will run on.

  63. John C says:

I have a perplexing problem. I have an Android phone that was just upgraded from 2.2 to 2.3.3. I had the SpringPad app installed and working under 2.2. As part of the 2.3.3 upgrade, I reset the phone to factory defaults and re-formatted the SD card (recommended by upgrade instructions).

Re-installing my apps, I look for SpringPad in the new Market and – I can’t find it. On the web version of the Android Market, the SpringPad app indicates it is (now) incompatible with my phone (an LGE LG-C710h).

Any idea where to go from here? I’m a little lost without my SpringPad.

    Thanks.

    • brittni says:

Hey John – I’m stumped! Very odd, but could easily be an Android/Android Market side issue too. I’m going to reach out to you via Email to see if we can figure this out.

  64. Don says:

I have also encountered John C’s incompatibility problem but I was able to install SpringPad through AndroidPIT. My phone’s Samsung Galaxy Y running on 2.3.5.

  65. Rich says:

Katin, I’m w/ Joe (September 3, 2011) & Mike Peterson (September 8, 2011) who both asked WHEN will you provide us with a Blackberry OS App?
I, and I’m sure many, many others, need it (ideally yesterday) to make the most of all SpringPad’s great features & functions…!!
    PLEASE !! ???

  66. Leon (@DinoLeon) says:

Okay, so I wanted to test Springpad and I did the backup thing they said they had on my Springpad Chrome App. When it returned, I lost all my notes on the Chrome app, but it all remained in my phone. I sync-ed many times but the notes won’t appear on my browser app… Please help!

  67. Pennie says:

  72. Kart says:

I am using the gmail account to access springpad; (i.e. so I have not created a specific account on springpad) I have now download the app on my iphone what username/password should I use to login. Thanks in advance.

  73. Jon says:

It’s been asked before, but I just wanted to re-ask when you plan to release a version for the BlackBerry and PlayBook?

    • Devin says:

Thanks Jon, and I apologize that we don’t have this available for you yet. I don’t have a timeline right now, as we are focusing on making the iOS and Android apps the best they can be before we move on to other devices. We do hope to off this in the future!

  74. Leire says:

I did install in ipad and cant login with gmail, sorry but for me it is that i dont have not time to make your another acc, i am terribly tired how all apps for ipad for notes or so are mostly with stupid acc required and i never do acc in ipad, as in computer i have program to remember data etc. Sorry but i did uninstall it and am really disappointed, i cant find any one darn app which would know diff types of fonts smaller and bigger in one of line text. Only one type of fonts, and i hoped yours know it, but if not then it is even wasting time.

  75. Ehlly says:

The android market says the app is not compatible with my phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy 5 with Android 2.2. Is there way I can install app to this phone? An older version, maybe?
I really like Springpad, and I really want to have it on my mobile phone too. Thanks.

  76. Ehlly says:

    Hi again.
I got it from AndroidPIT and it’s working just fine. Thank you!

  77. Lori says:

Sorry, just about to quit on Springpad. After almost a year I’ve gone back to Evernote. Why? blackberry access. And offline access. Wish I had realised this earlier.

  78. Lori says:

One thing I have continued to test is using Springpad for recipes. I like the pre-formatted recipes. But… the “spring it” chrome button has yet to recognise a recipe. This page for example: http://www.theclothesmakethegirl.com/2011/06/21/chinese-pork-fried-frice/. Even when I highlight only the recipe, spring it still doesn’t “see it”. Am I missing the point of the pre-formatted types?

    Thanks

    • Devin says:

Hi Lori – No, you’ve got the concept right, and sorry that the extension is not finding the right type. If you use the clipper instead, you can change it to Recipe.

  79. Mark says:

Just downloaded the Android app and am unable to log in. “There was an error in logging you in, please try again.” I have verified the login but still not working for me. Any suggestions?

  80. JohnnyfromDonny says:

Another Blackberry Playbook user here … any update on the progress re an app for us. I appreciate what you’re saying about iOS and Android but I’m just ditching an iPhone that I’ve had for 2 years as it’s useless as a phone and I begrudge paying twice the price for an Apple tablet. Looks like Evernote may have found another customer.

    • Devin says:

We’re sorry to hear that, Johnny, but unfortunately nothing has changed. We’d like (love!) to deliver on every request, but with a limited size staff, we still don’t have the capacity to do that. Our strategy, then, is to make what we currently offer the best it can be before we tackle an entirely new platform. And unfortunately, since the Android and iOS markets are the largest, those ones went first. Thanks for giving us a shot so far – hope to win you back in the future!

  81. ThomasG says:

I wish on the Android version, I could also have a compacted list view with 1 item = 1 line and tabs on the top to switch between “Notebooks”.

  82. Ziad says:

    Hello,
I have the asus transformer prime, I downloaded the Springpad app however there is no shortcut on the tablet and the only way I can access it is by going to the android market and open it from there.
    is there a solution?

    many thanks

  83. Ahnoosh says:

Hey there. I am accessing springpad on my Nook Color Tablet. is there a way to download the clipper for the nook? I’m using my nook more and more as we plan my daughter’s wedding. I’d like to be able to browse the web and clip ideas to save to my springbad, but so far, no luck.

    • Devin says:

Hi Ahnoosh, Right now we only have the clipper for Safari in the iOS devices. But we hear you that this would be useful! Thanks for letting us know it’s important to you!

  84. Gil says:

I love Springpad. It has completely replaced Evernote for me. Do you have any plans for a Windows Phone app? I realize I can use the mobile site, but just wanted to ask.

    • Devin says:

Hi Gil – Not right now, but we’ve been getting a lot of requests. We’re focusing on making the iOS and Android the best they can be before we move on :)

  85. Josh says:

I have been using the Springpad app (Android) for months and have loved it and haven’t had any issues…until now. I am trying to access my notes (no internet connection) and it is telling me “Internet Needed: Please connect to the internet to run this app” and then shuts down. Any idea why this is happening? I have used the app countless times without an internet connection, and now for some reason I can’t access it anymore without wifi.

  86. Ruth Leone says:

Will one of the Springpad apps work on a Nokia E5 smartphone? I just got my phone and would really like to be able to use Springpad on it.

  87. mabel says:

I am using the web app on my blackberry. It does not allow me to edit an existing note. If i try too, I just get an error message. Also, my quick add item options that I added on my computer do not show up on the web app. so this web app is pretty much unhelpful. Dont know if the issue is only with using it on a Blackberry.

    • Devin says:

Hi Mabel – The main function of the mobile web version of SP is to allow you access to your stuff. As such, the creation/edit functionality is limited. Sorry about that. We know this is a pain for BB users!

  88. Jordi says:

Why the Android app is 90% of times crashing when I press the sort button?

  89. Jordi says:

Still happening after reinstall, but sort option is only crashing on friend stuff screen selecting a type (instead of everything). Already tried in two diferent devices (Samsung Galaxy Ace and Asus Transformer).

    • Devin says:

Okay, thanks for trying that. We are making changes to Friends Stuff which should solve this. Hang tight until the end of March, and you’ll find a way better experience :)

  90. Jordi says:

Ok, I’ll wait for that. Thank you very much for this magnific tool helping people everyday in their personal life and job

  91. Robert says:

Hi, is there any chance, that the Android app is going to support formatting? I don’t use anything fancy, just lists and underlining and bold, but it’s rather sad, that all of this is lost when I add something in the app.

  92. LazycatSU says:

    Hi!
The aplication is good. I leave Evernote and begin to use Springpad. But! What I really need, and you didn’t have it in Android – sharing with named another user (not all people) and opportunity to work with them in Android application.
Another suggestion – just try to design better look of Android Small widget. Maybe you to give users an opportunity to add detached shortcuts to function (f.e. “Add note”, “Add by Type” and so on).

    • Devin says:

Good news, Lazycat! We’re releasing collaboration with individual Springpad users in a few weeks! Re: Android widget, thanks for the feedback!

  93. Andreas says:

I used springpad by m.springpadit.com on my mobile. This url doesn’t work any longer. Is there another?
