Use Android Sharing to Save Anything to Springpad

With last week’s update to the Springpad Android app, we announced many sharing improvements, but they’re best explained with a quick video.  Check it out!

The Springpad Android app lets you save anything you want to remember, but by using the Android-only sharing feature, you can add new things to Springpad without even launching the app.

Here’s how it works:

  • As you surf the web or use other apps on your Android device, tap on your device’s menu, choose Share, then select Springpad
  • Springpad will automatically detect the type of item you are trying to save, and populate relevant & useful information
  • You can edit the title, add tags, and file to a notebook
  • Once you add the new item to Springpad, you’ll be returned to your previous screen, so you can continue on your way…

We are constantly adding new sites that work with Springpad to auto-detect by data type. If you’ve got a request, let us know! Leave a comment below, or drop us a line at feedback@springpartners.com.

It would be nice to be able to share a project with another Android user where any updates made by one person would automatically be reflected in the other person’s account.

I really love your app, but because of where I’m from (Poland) I really can’t use your “auto-detection” feature, because it doesn’t work on our Polish websites like merlin.pl, empik.pl, and kwestiasmaku.pl .
I really wonder what method ate you using to detect what kind of website I want to add. Do you have to add some pattern to smecific website, or do website have to add some code.

If you could answer here or on email(preffer) it would be great! :)

    Cheers.

Unfortunatelly, this app is not compatible with my xperia 10. You should make it work in more smart phones.

How can I do this from my Barnes and Noble Nook with Springpad….I don’t have a share option!

I love this app – just wish I could put stuff in Springpad when I’m web browsing using the nook. Works great when on my PC.
    Thanks for the helo

I can see this feature when I use the browser on my Galaxy SII but not in the gallery. I can share pictures as notes to Evernote but not to SpringPad. This is the first I’ve seen where SpringPad lacks in comparison, and would be an appreciated feature.
