Springpad Uses Partnerships to Enhance the Things You Save
Today we’re announcing that we’ve added Shopping.com as a partner, bringing our list of partnerships beyond 100! Our partners include leading brands such as Groupon, Fandango, Amazon and OpenTable, making it possible for us to deliver news, discounts, deals and other updates directly related to the products, places, movies, recipes and music that you save. With information from our partners, Springpad is always working to help you save time and money. When you save something to Springpad, we immediately make it better with quick links to help you get things done. Later, we alert you of relevant news and offers to help you remember the things you’ve previously saved.
- Save a book or product, get links to reviews, receive an alert when the price drops
- Save a restaurant, get the address, phone number, menus and links to Yelp
- Save a movie, receive an alert when it’s in the theaters, on DVD and on Netflix
Springpad’s integration with Shopping.com
Shopping.com has a roster of partners that deliver dynamic information on product specifications and best prices from more than 8,000 merchants globally. In this first release as one of Springpad’s content providers, Shopping.com will deliver product information and great deals offered online. Future enhancements will include the ability for Springpad users to receive user reviews and alerts when the price drops for a product they’ve saved in the app.
Springpad’s Integration with Groupon
Groupon will now deliver its daily deals to Springpad users who save their favorite restaurants, destinations or services in the app. For example, if a user has saved a restaurant in Springpad, he or she will receive an Alert for a corresponding Groupon deal when it becomes available.
Springpad has more than 100 content partners that send automated Alerts and provide news and relevant information for online shopping, dining, social media, entertainment, technology, and daily deals.
Other Top Content Partners Include:
Entertainment: Fandango, Songkick, iTunes, Netflix, Amazon
Dining: OpenTable, Wine.com, Menupages
Technology: CNET, GDGT, Engadget
Daily deals: Groupon, Living Social
Shopping: Shopping.com, Gap, Target, Amazon

What about a way to tell us about updates for notes we already have?
For example, say I saved one of my favorite bars on Springpad. Two month later, Groupon has a deal for this bar. In the weekly newsletter (for example?) I would get an update about that.
This method can come in handy if you allow people to edit a note together, or if there are any other update of old notes. If Springpad is truly dynamic, it needs a feature that presents updates such as this one.
I cannot find instructions anywhere on how to use, or activate integration with your partners.
Hi Katin,
I’ve tried that, but I only get a very generalized coupon listing, no matter what product I save. Restaurants give me nothing (except yelp reviews).
Is there a list of all 100 partners somewhere so I can check to try to utilize them?
Good to see you are getting partnerships, though I’m still looking forward to the day Springpad becomes really useful for non-U.S. citizens such as myself. Although I suppose that’s still a couple of years ahead
So essentially, you’re tracking what users do to deliver them up to advertisers?
Thanks for letting me know. I’m now deleting my account.

Shay – To be alerted of daily updates to the things you’ve already saved, use the RSS feed from the Alerts view. Here’s how: http://blog.springpadit.com/2010/12/get-springpad-alerts-via-rss/

Robert – Just save a product, book, movie, restaurant, etc… They you’ll see quick links & alerts from our partners.
