Lori uses Springpad to organize her household
ATTENTION: This post contains details about a previous version of Springpad. To learn about the updates in Springpad 3.0, check out this blog post: “The New Springpad Makes It Fun and Easy to Share.”
Lori contacted us the first week she started using Springpad to let us know how well it fit into her life.
A tool like this where I can keep all my tasks, notes, shopping lists (in the next couple of years we will be eaten out of house and home by our two boys) and things I run across as I am researching for either of my jobs is heaven sent!
How Lori uses Springpad:
- Access via the Mobile Apps: In addition to accessing Springpad on the web, Lori also uses an iPod Touch and an Android phone to access Springpad. With apps available for both iOS and Android, all of Lori’s Springpad data is available to her whenever and wherever she needs it.
- Collect Gift Ideas: When it came time to plan for Christmas and her sons’ birthdays, Lori created notebooks to track gift ideas for all of her family members.
- Save Things She’s Interested In: In addition to saving lists of things to do and things to remember, Lori also uses Springpad to keep track of movies she likes and books that she wants to read. Check out Lori’s Book To Read notebook.
Some of Lori’s Favorite Springpad Features:
- Notebooks: Giving her the ability to stay organized by topic, Lori uses notebooks to separate her work projects, from her family responsibilities, from her hobbies. Take a look at Lori’s Cross-Stitch notebook.
- Checklists: Lori uses checklists to keep track of all of the things she needs to purchase or accomplish in her day-to-day life. Check out one of Lori’s checklists.

Just downloaded Springpad for Nook Tablet and wondered if the features are somehow different than the example shown on your website under “Lori uses Springpad To Organize her Household”?
I can make a notebook, but I do not have options down the left side that allows me to select a “to-do” list, or categorize the items in the notebook. My screen just doesn’t look like the example.
Is it possible the Nook Tablet version is watered down?

Hi There – If you use Springpad web app, you have access to all features. The example from this blog post is from the web. The mobile and tablet apps have an increasing amount of features, but they still do not offer all the functionality of the web app.
