Eric uses Springpad to organize his online business
ATTENTION: This post contains details about a previous version of Springpad. To learn about the updates in Springpad 3.0, check out this blog post: “The New Springpad Makes It Fun and Easy to Share.”
Eric is a long-time Springpad user who uses both the web app and the mobile app to collect ideas and save information that he needs for his computer repair business.
I’ve found Springpad to be THE BEST to do list app around — I’ve got it on my Android phone, my iPod touch, in my shortcut bar (the “SpringIt” button), and I’ve always got it open in a tab in Firefox!
How Eric uses Springpad:
- Save articles found online: When he comes across tech issues in the news that he wants to add to his blog, Eric uses the Springpad clipper to save a bookmark and tag it according to topic. Then he can access the list whenever he’s ready to add a new post. (Clipping can also be done with the browser extension available for Chrome and Firefox.) Check out some of Eric’s bookmarks.
- Keep track of daily tasks: Eric creates lists of his daily todo’s to help him get through the day.
- Organize with notebooks: In addition to using Springpad for work, Eric also uses Springpad to organize parts of his personal life. Notebooks allow him to keep things organized by topic. Check out Eric’s notebooks.
Some of Eric’s favorite Springpad features:
- Shopping Lists: Eric uses shopping lists in Springpad to keep track of his grocery lists. He is then able to access them on the go and re-use them again and again.
- Voice Memos: When he’s driving and can’t type, Eric uses the quick-add widget on his Android phone to record a voice memo while on the go. That way, he can capture his ideas right when he has them!

I use Springpad to organiza my (digital and not) life!
Using everyday as a life memo from browser and mobile, often I just collect notes, photos and so on, not having time to add them to a notebook. Because I use a lot the notebooks to classify and order my itams, I’d like to select from the “filter result” function all the items without any Notebook associated. This is possible for “Priorities” and “Rating” but not for “Notebooks” or “Tags”.
I hope to see added a “No notebook” and “No tags” option to them, to classify fast my items!
Thanks for the best productivity app ever!
