How to invite people to collaborate on your Springpad notebooks

Springpad notebooks are the best way to share information and manage projects with other people. Plan a trip, have a party or organize your household chores, Springpad notebooks allow you to easily collect and share ideas with other contributors. Here’s how to invite friends, family or co-workers to collaborate on a notebook in Springpad:

How to invite collaborators using the web app:

  • Create a notebook, give it a title and choose a theme.
  • Click on Settings at the bottom of the left menu and select the Contributors tab.
  • Enter the emails or Springpad usernames of the people you want to invite. If you want to invite someone who is not a Springpad user, just enter their email address, and they’ll get the invite along with information about how to sign up.

Everyone who accepts the invitation to a notebook has full access to add, edit and delete the items in a notebook. Springpad will notify you of changes made by other users in the notebook’s alerts section. To change your notifications, simply go to Settings > Notifications.

Don’t forget to decide if you want the notebook to be pubic or private. If you set your notebook to be private, then all of its contents will be private and visible only to those people who you invite to be contributors. If you want the whole world to be able to follow along as you and your friends save new things, then make the notebook public!
